POPCORN THE BEAR - FOOTBALL CRAZY

I never tire of the Popcorn the Bear range as they are such a pleasure to work with.  The images are sweet and each set comes with the appropriate sentiments.

This image was stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured in using a variety of markers and a blender pen.  The grass was a bit more of a challenge than usual and I did not like the colour it ended up so I went over it with a Distress Ink and an aqua brush.  That is is good thing about watercolour paper, it can absorb so much more than normal cardstock.

I used a Go Kreate die to frame the image and popped it onto a square card using my normal CM paper as a background.  The watercolour paper was a bit bright so I toned it down by sponging Antique Linen Distress Ink on the edges.  The same was done with the sentiment which was hand cut.

POPCORN THE BEAR - FATHER'S DAY

For this card I wanted to see if I could use the Go Kreate Wavy Frame #1 die to make a card.  I folded the cardstock in half, placed the die on top making sure the left hand side was on the inside of the die so it would not be cut and ran it through the CB twice.  It worked and I am rather pleased with the results. 

I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and coloured it in using watercolour crayons, pencil crayons and markers with a blender pen.  I used an aqua brush and Distress Ink for the grass.  It is a new technique I read about and it works really well with large areas giving the picture a watercolour look about it.

The paper is from a large pad I bought from Ronita at Simply Creative and the border punch is a Martha Stewart one.  The sentiment is from SU as is the punch used to frame it.

POPCORN THE BEAR - SOUFFLE

Popcorn the Bear stamp sets are just so cute and this set has smaller images which are perfect for cards.  They also come with a full colour insert complete with 2 card ideas - it does not get easier than that !

The little chick was coloured in using Copics and the duvet was paper pieced.  I then cut the image out and placed it onto 2 Nestabilities ovals.  The background paper is from a thick pad bought at Simply Creative and the flowers and flower brad are from my stash.  The sentiment is also from the Souffle set.

POPCORN THE BEAR - DEAR SANTA

My plan is to make a Christmas card a week between now and December to try and ease the inevitable rush of making a whole batch at once.

I bought this image from a wonderful craft store in Melbourne, Heavenscent Crafts - the ladies running the shop are seriously talented and have the most wonderful selection of stamps.  When they realised I was a Popcorn the Bear fan they made a concerted effort to get in some of the new Christmas stamp sets before I left and this was one of them.

I used Copics to colour in the image which I stamped on a non bleed pad purchased locally.  The only problem is the paper is lightweight - I would say less than 80g which made it a bit flimsy to work with when I cut it out.  The sentiment is from Kazazz and the background paper is my usual CM.

POPCORN THE BEAR - FISHING POPCORN

This is another card I am holding back the sentiment until I need to use it.  The background paper is from a pad I have which I bought locally, the border punch is SU and I used normal markers on the image.

POPCORN THE BEAR - THANKS A BUNCH

I must confess to being a fan of teddy bears and when I saw the Popcorn the Bear range I knew I just had to have them.  The nice part is they are relatively easy to cut out if required.

The usual SU markers and crayons were used with a blender pen and I popped the image on rises.  The ovals are made using the CM cutting system as the Nestabilities ones were not large enough.  The background paper is CM placed onto a card which I had in my stash.  Had to use a larger card than normal as the image is quite big.
