MOTIVET - DEXTER
Dexter, the squirrel from Motivet (ref CM058N) is another cutey. The chocolate brown card (SU) has been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, the frame is Nestabilities Deckle edge and the bottom earth colours are from Creative Memories scraps which were torn.
The label punch is my favourite from SU with the sentiment also SU - Teeny Tiny Wishes.
ART IMPRESSIONS - VIOLET
This dear old duck is Violet front and back from Art Impressions. The front and back window, rug, fence and gate are also AI. The dog and birds are from a Penny Black transparent stamp set.
The idea is to stamp one of the windows first, cut out with a craft knife (a bit fiddly) and then stamp the other side window. Violet is stamped front and back on watercolour paper, cut out and glued together from the arms up. On the stamp Violet's dress is plain but I thought, being an old lady, a floral dress would be more apt !
ART IMPRESSIONS - FANNY
For this card I used Art Impressions Fanny front and back, AI fence and gate, the dogs are from Penny Black, the houses on the front are a SU wheel with the houses inside being a stamp set from SU.
Fanny was coloured in before I bought flesh coloured Copic markers hence her looking a little on the pale side. I thought this card would make a good 'Welcome to the Neighbourhood'.

MOTIVET - NOTEBOOK COVER
Isn't Doraline, the squirrel from Motivet (ref. CM001N), just the cutest ! I have made a whole lot of thank you gifts and this one is a cover for a small notepad. These gifts are relatively quick to make and handy to put one side until the need arises.
Again I used Twinkling H2O's for her dress - they tend to give the image a slight shimmer.
MOTIVET STAMP
This adorable stamp is Dexter on a bike (CM068N). Motivet supply a coloured image of the stamp and I used their suggested colours for this card.
The background is a SU paper as is the label punch and sentiment.
I tend to mainly stamp on watercolour paper if the image is to be coloured in and used a mixture of Tombow, Stampin Up and Marvy Le Plume II markers with the aid of an aqua painter and blender pen.
To help choose the right marker I have a reference chart with the name of each marker next to a small block coloured in to get an idea of the exact colour. It saves a lot of time and trying out each marker on scrap paper every time to see if the colour is the right one.
